Assembly
For information regarding Chronicles, see University.
The Assembly forms a part of your cultural and political apparatus, and is used to generate Influence, which is required to research most Town Centre and Senate technologies and build some wonders.
In addition, various improvements affecting your civilisation can be researched here, given the Assembly's position as the intellectual heart of your empire. Each Assembly must be attached to a Settlement, and can house as many as 7 Councillors, giving a base total of +70 Influence per second, as well as a small boost to Influence whenever constructed successfully.
Available upgrades
Unlike the University the Assembly contains not just upgrades that enhance your ability to research technologies and age up faster, but the Construction and Healthcare upgrade tracks as well. While few players may consider Healthcare useful, Construction is vital especially for Chinese factions since most of their best units come from a Nobles' Court. A Nobles' Court cannot be built until Masonry is researched.
Pedagogics
While there are four tiers of research for Pedagogics, only three are available to all factions. The final level, The Nine Schools, is available solely for Chinese factions, and is required in order to research two specific policies at the Senate — Mohism and Legalism.
