Units trained[edit | edit source]

Unlike Chronicles where a Tier 3 Green government is required to access stronger and faster armed merchants, supply and traders, in Bronze Dawn these units are made available from the beginning of the game. Equally, they are also not available to all factions: generally, most Chinese factions lack them; only certain factions at the periphery of the map (see Atlas/Bronze Dawn for more info) tend to use them. For instance, while they are very powerful, Zhou, Wei and Qin do not have access to armed traders or merchants; the one Chinese faction capable of training them both is Shu.

In addition, in contrast to Chronicles, supply units are not raised at the Siege Workshop's equivalent, the Proving Grounds. Rather, they must be created at a Market.

Markets and Supply Wagons in Bronze Dawn[edit | edit source]

As with the Rise of the Moderns series, supply units (or rather, Baggage Wagons and Armed Supply Wagons) no longer appear at the Proving Grounds. Rather, they are now recruited from the Market, and in addition require Commerce Level 5 (Road Networks).

Factions that receive the more powerful Armed Supply Wagon at the start of the game are the following:

  • Xianyun
  • Qin
  • Saka
  • Kushans
