Wei

The Wei have the power of Tradition.
The marquisate of Wei was formed with the destruction of the once-mighty state of Jin almost 2 centuries ago, formed from the central regions of Jin. Bordering the Yellow River, Wei's lands are rich and productive, thus allowing the nation to support a vast number of cities as well as extensive trading routes utilising the course of the Yellow River, but in a world of political flux, Wei itself faces an uncertain future.
Hemmed in by the larger states of Zhao to the north and the rising powers of Yue and Chu to the south, the destiny of Wei is very much uncertain but for one thing: the rulers of Wei will have to assert their independence, as well as their influence. The rulers of Wei thus far have been wise to leverage their strengths in infrastructure and trade: but will it be enough to ensure their survival in a China now threatened by barbarians to the north and west, as well as her own internal disunity?
